About Us

Heron Cabinets was started in 2002 by Matthew Heron. After completing his City and Guilds apprenticeship at Carters fine Joinery (cabinet makers) at Hampton Hill in West London, Matthew has been actively employed at various manufacturing companies, including Designer Custom made joinery, Commercial premises refurbishment and High-Quality Display cabinet manufacturing. Matthew started ‘Heron Cabinets‘ in response to the demand in the niche market for quality custom made furniture & display cabinets, ranging from Designer bespoke residential furniture, through to Quality custom built glass display cabinets, reception desks, commercial furniture and now incorporating Educational (classroom furniture) and healthcare furniture (including various types of storage cabinets, and residential bedside cabinets) as specified by our varied range of returning customers. Matthew has also recently undertaken advanced level training in UV Glass Bonding techniques. With over 20 years experience in the manufacturing and furniture industry, we have the knowledge and skills to come up with Good quality, attractive cabinets every time. Whether you require display cabinets or furniture for your shop, university, school, home, or office & reception furniture, a single cabinet or a rollout of units, you can be assured of the same high standard of quality and finish that goes into each and every one. More recently due to demand, we have joined up with partners to manufacture, supply and install a range of conservation grade and museum grade cabinets and showcases which can include silica gel capsules for smaller cabinets,  and full climate control systems for larger cabinets.

Heron Cabinets workmanship in manufacturing superb standard and bespoke glass display cabinets is currently incorporated into the designs of many multiple high street retailers, Universities, schools, offices and homes.We also manufacture and supply museum grade and conservation grade display cabinets with UV protection.  Our cabinet making skills and craftsmanship are used by other leading shop display companies, designers, furniture suppliers, Architects & builders. Our specialised joinery and glass bonding skills are sought after by local companies in Yorkshire as well as shopfitting and supply companies in London and Nationwide.

High-quality materials in veneers, laminates, glass, plastics & metals are all used to create the most eye-catching display cabinets and showcases. LED lighting solutions can be incorporated into all designs, with a wide range of different types and styles of lighting now available to find the best method of illuminating items in glass display cabinets, wall cabinets and glass counters.

Safety and security elements are incorporated in all our products and accommodated to suit customer needs. We fit toughened glass and quality locks, hinges and sliding door gear to all our trophy display cabinets and bespoke office furniture as standard. Museum and conservation grade cabinets usually have laminated glass, especially where UV protection is required.
